Services

Twin Palms Center is open year-round, five days a week, except for observed holidays and vacations. Clients arrive at 8:30 AM and socialize before they prepare for the day's activities. These activities include computer training, reading, math, physical fitness, gardening, menu planning and all aspects of living skills. Personal care, cooking, cleaning and other house maintenance chores are a part of the daily routine.

Lunch brings clients together for a nutritious meal which the clients prepare. Along with their active participation in food shopping and preparation, clients have assigned chores at the Center. At Twin Palms Center the clients also serve as volunteers to other non-profit organizations that need assistance with mailings, newsletters and other tasks.

Afternoons include crafts, games, drama and other therapeutic activities, such as yoga, bowling, and mall walking. Visits to local theaters and museums further expand the clients’ familiarity with the cultural programs in the community.

The Twin Palms Center experience gives clients the opportunity to become active participants at home and in the community through a creative, instructional program.
